“Grow Wire Podcast,” How Zero Carbon World Is Decarbonising the Planet, One Electric Car Charging Station at a Time

A 2018 IPCC report said we have 12 years to massively reduce our carbon footprint before complete environmental breakdown. That means we need to make monumental changes in energy, land and building infrastructure as well as industrial systems, and more than anything, in transportation.

That last one is the subject of this “Grow Wire Podcast,” a conversation with Cara Naden, director of Zero Carbon World, a U.K.-based nonprofit.

“Thirty-four percent of carbon emission comes from personal transport,” Naden explains. Zero Carbon World’s mission is to affordably decarbonise by reducing the use of fossil fuel.
The organisation does this by donating free electric car charging stations to destination businesses, hotel and leisure companies. It hopes to debunk myths that decarbonisation is expensive and encourage more people to drive electric.
