Charging Stations don't need to cost the earth.
Other Charging stations can cost around £1000 to install at home and up to £8000 for businesses. We aim to campaign for and deliver low cost charging solutions to help bring about positive change. Our Charging Stations retail at just £250 for a pair.
We believe that reducing the price of EV hardware will encourage more users to adopt EV's. The UK is legally bound to halving our total carbon footprint by 2025. 12% of the UK's total emissions come from domestic vehicles, so by switching to electric, we could make a significant impact on reducing this figure. This would be a major step in creating a more sustainable and equitable society. Many social and environmental ills can be addressed with a comprehensive national decarbonisation strategy.
We don't believe in profiteering. There is no need for an expensive alternative.
We do believe in unrestricted charging for drivers. Strangely, we listen to EV owners and understand the limitations of other networks:
Cost - Other public networks are charging £10 - £100 a year to have access to their charging stations.
Access restrictions - For each network, you will need a different smart card in advance to access electricity
Minimum charging time - Many of the car parks which offer charging only allow a maximum stay of 4 hours, or in locations where it is not practical to spend time - for example at Supermarkets. If you're looking to fully charge your vehicle for a trip between 100-300 miles, this will not allow you enough time.
Corruption - Many other Charging Stations sometimes include additional smart technology. This is for monitoring things such as how often they're used and stats from the drivers car. This technology can sometimes get corrupted and as a safety protocol the charger will shut down.
